2019 Sangiovese

Sangiovese is Italy. It is the at the heart of many wines because of the many foods it pairs with. It can be drunk young in a Chianti or old in a Brunello. Our fruit is harvested in Amador County from the Bray Vineyard. With dark cherry, plum and cardamom on the nose, the invitation to the palate is only a sip away to reveal strawberry, plum and red currant with a touch of vanilla and tobacco. The long finish has pleasant acidity and firm tannins. Our favorite pairing is lamb ragu topped with ricotta and mint.
