2018 Papa Romano Red

Our 2018 Papa Romano is a wonderful tribute to Leanne’s father. In keeping this wine in the style of a Super Tuscan our aim is to make Sangiovese the star while acquiring structure from grapes that gained fame more northwest of Toscano, namely Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. The nose has immediately familiar notes of dried currant, cherry and strawberry. When passed over and around the tongue, the delight of silky tannins combined with cherry, cacao and black tea are just what you need to pair with a lovely grilled t-bone or cast iron pan fried pork chop.
